Text: Deuteronomy 17:11-13

God instructs His people to respect and obey decisions made by appointed leaders (including priest and judges), recognizing their authority is giving by God. Refusing to obey them not just rebellion against human authority but also against God Himself. The punishment for disobedience is death to serve as a deterrent to others.
Today, this reminds us to submit to authority and uphold righteousness in our actions. For believers, submission is a mark of humility and trust in God’s ordained structures ensuring justice prevails.
Let us align our hearts with His will, obeying the authority God has set over us.
