Topic: Sanctity of Marriage
Text: 1 Corinthians 7:1-16

Today's reading emphasizes the sanctity of marriage. It teaches that if one cannot control his or her sexual feelings, they should give expression to that desire in marriage. Couples should not deprive each other of sex.
The relationship is permanent, so if the husband divorces, the wife, he shouldn't remarry except to the former wife.
If one has an unbelieving spouse, who is willing to stay in the marriage, the believer should not divorce him or her. However, if the unbeliever leaves, the believer is free to remarry.
Marriage is an institution God established, and we must respect his word on it if we are to enjoy marriage.
