In today’s text, we learn how Jonathan made peace between his father, and his friend, David. By following his example, we can learn some effective strategies for making peace.
He:
• Interceded by speaking courageously to his father, on behalf of David.
• Used logical reasoning to persuade his father, reminding him of David's loyalty, bravery, and accomplishments.
• Appealed to his father's emotions, highlighting the positive aspects of David's character and actions.
• He offered to guarantee David's safety, essentially putting his own reputation and relationship with his father on the line.
